I agree. It is not about me. It is about God using me for His purpose. I think this is a struggle many new Christians have because we often want a quick fix for the consequences of many years of sinful behavior. The Lord changes us (2Corinthians 5:17), yet the process of walking it out in the flesh happens very slowly. Many are very impatient with that process. Many falsely believe that once we become a Christian we have no problems, when in fact, God uses trials and struggles to strengthen us, shape us, mold us for His purpose. We should understand that the purpose of man is to glorify God and to be conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 12:2, Philippians 2:4-8). We must desire God's will over our own self will and be careful to submit our self will to God's will on a daily basis.
